BrokerHub

Connect Facebook Ads

3 steps. About 10 minutes. Let's get your Facebook account ready so we can start running your ads.

Before you start. You only need to do these steps if your BrokerHub plan includes ad management. Once you're done, come back to your BrokerHub dashboard and we'll handle the rest from our end. If you get stuck on any step, ask Mia in the chat — she can walk you through it live.

1

Create a Facebook Business Page

A Business Page is different from your personal Facebook profile. It's a public-facing page for your real estate business. You need one to run ads — Meta does not allow ads from personal profiles.

  1. Go to facebook.com/pages/create.
  2. Click "Create new Page".
  3. Enter your Page name — use your professional name exactly how clients know you. Example: "Sarah Thompson Real Estate" or "John Smith — Oakville Realtor".
  4. Under Category, start typing Real Estate Agent and select it from the dropdown.
  5. Add a short Description (up to 255 characters). Something like: "Licensed REALTOR® serving [Your City] and the GTA. Helping buyers and sellers navigate the market with confidence."
  6. Click "Create Page".
  7. Once the page is created, add your profile photo (use your professional headshot) and a cover photo (can be a photo of your city or a recent listing). You can skip these for now and do them later.

You don't need to invite friends, post content, or make it pretty right now. We just need the page to exist so we can connect it to your ad account.

2

Create a Meta Ad Account

Your ad account is where Meta bills you for ad spend and where campaigns are managed. You need your own, separate from BrokerHub's, because Meta requires the billing method to belong to the account owner.

  1. Go to business.facebook.com.
  2. Log in with the same personal Facebook account you used to create your Business Page.
  3. If you don't have a Business Portfolio yet, Meta will prompt you to create one. Click "Create a Business Portfolio".
  4. Name your portfolio with your real estate business name (same as your Page, e.g., "Sarah Thompson Real Estate").
  5. Enter your full name and your business email address, then click Submit.
  6. Check your email for a verification link from Meta and click it to verify.
  7. Back in Business Portfolio, click "Settings" in the left sidebar (sometimes labeled "Business Settings").
  8. Under "Accounts" in the left panel, click "Pages" and add your Business Page from Step 1.
  9. Under "Accounts," click "Ad Accounts".
  10. Click the blue "Add" button → select "Create a new ad account".
  11. Name your ad account (suggested: "Your Name — Main").
  12. Set Time zone to (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time.
  13. Set Currency to CAD — Canadian Dollar.
  14. IMPORTANT: These settings cannot be changed later without closing the account and starting over. Double-check before clicking Next.
  15. Click Next.
  16. Indicate this ad account is for "My business" → Next.
  17. Accept the terms and conditions, then click "Create ad account".
  18. When prompted, assign the ad account to yourself with Admin access.
  19. Under "Payment Methods," click "Add Payment Method" and enter your credit card details. Save.

Meta requires YOU to add the payment method — we can't do this for you. This is the only step in the whole process that requires your credit card. Once it's added, you're done with the hard part.

Optional

Link Instagram

By default, Meta runs ads on both Facebook and Instagram when your accounts are linked. Most agents get better results with both platforms. If you skip this step, your ads still run on Facebook — you just lose the Instagram placement. You can do this now or anytime later.

  1. Make sure your Instagram account is a Business or Creator account (not Personal). If it's still a personal account, open the Instagram app, go to your profile, tap the menu (☰), tap SettingsAccount type and toolsSwitch to professional account, and pick Business.
  2. Go to business.facebook.com.
  3. In the left sidebar, click "Settings" (sometimes labeled "Business Settings").
  4. Under "Accounts" in the left panel, click "Instagram Accounts".
  5. Click the blue "Add" button.
  6. Log in with your Instagram credentials when prompted.
  7. Once connected, link the Instagram account to your Facebook Business Page: inside Instagram Accounts, click the account → click "Connected assets" → add your Facebook Page.
  8. Click Save.

That's it — your ads will now run on both Facebook and Instagram automatically. If you'd rather skip Instagram, just move on to Step 3 below.

3

Connect Facebook to BrokerHub

Now we just need to link your Facebook to your BrokerHub dashboard so we can run ads on your behalf.

  1. Log into your BrokerHub account at app.thebrokerhub.io.
  2. In the left sidebar, click "Settings".
  3. Under Settings, click "Integrations".
  4. Find "Facebook" in the integrations list and click "Connect".
  5. A Facebook login window will pop up — sign in with your personal Facebook account (the same one you've been using).
  6. When Facebook asks for permissions, click "Continue" or "Accept" on every screen — make sure ALL permission toggles are turned ON and all checkboxes are checked.
  7. Select your Business Page from the dropdown when prompted.
  8. Select your Ad Account from the dropdown when prompted.
  9. Click "Save".

That's it! Once Facebook is connected, we'll take it from here.
